“My journey has been one of constant transformation, learning to embrace change and rewrite the stories that define who I am.” —Nathan Schultz
I’m a lifelong dreamer, with one foot in the clouds and the other planted firmly on the ground. Dreaming makes a lot of sense when you grow up in a place like Alaska - full of rich, vast territory ripe for the imagination. It embedded in me a love of the natural world and the stories it holds. I believe the stories we tell ourselves shape not only our lives but also the lives of those around us. My own story is one of crossing thresholds and learning to live in the in-between places—those spaces of transition that challenge and transform us.
For much of my life, I resisted change, clinging tightly to the familiar as I faced each new bend in the road. Over time, I discovered that letting go and embracing transitions—not fighting them—was the key to living fully. Now, I help others navigate their own pivotal moments by uncovering the stories they’ve outgrown and crafting new ones that reflect who they truly are.
My journey has taken me through many roles: social worker, program administrator, spiritual leader, nonprofit executive, consultant, and even a personal guide on the Camino de Santiago. Each of these experiences has taught me that thriving—whether in your career, personal life, or spiritual journey—begins with understanding yourself.
My work as a coach, guide, consultant, and leader is grounded in a simple truth: understanding yourself is essential to navigating the world around you. Whether crossing literal paths on a pilgrimage or navigating career transitions, I’ve learned that every journey inward ripples outward, transforming not just ourselves but the communities and relationships we hold dear. I’m passionate about helping others find clarity, step into their fullness, and carry their unique gifts into the world.
Pieces of my story
My Work: Nonprofit professional, fundraiser, consultant, social worker, spiritual leader - find out more about my professional background on my LinkedIn Page.
Where you’ll find me: Dreaming about my next pilgrimage, walking trails near my home, or curled up with a book that’s reshaping how I see the world.
What inspires me: A good story well told. Often about people stepping into the unknown - give me a bildungsroman any day.
A fun fact: I’ve guided pilgrimages on the Camino de Santiago, where every step is a story in motion.
What I believe: Fear is part of the journey. The trick is learning to live with it, so it doesn’t hold you back from the life you’re meant to live.
But wait, there’s more…..
I’m a roamer and quintessential pilgrim - I attended 12 schools before college, have lived in at least 10 houses in my lifetime (but who’s counting), lived in many states, and love to travel.
Places I’ve traveled - all over the US in nearly every state (I’m only missing a couple - coming for you soon Washington State!); China and Tibet, Spain, France, England, Wales, Ireland/N Ireland, Egypt and Jordan
Favorite Place: Several years ago we traveled to the Middle East and I fell in love with the desert in Jordan. Take me back to the ancient places.
